Squad is a NYC-based tech startup disrupting the consumer social space. Our app is a voice-only, intimate social experience that makes it super easy (and fun!) to stay close with your close friends. Our launch was covered by TechCrunch.

We’re backed by the who’s who of Silicon Valley, including top venture capitalists, and the founders of notable companies like Slack, Zillow, Away and StichFix. We just completed a fundraising round, and are looking to scale our marketing and communications teams, to help elevate the company to the next level..

As our first marketing hire, you will be responsible for building, leading and scaling a world class consumer tech marketing team. You ready, or nah??   • Build, and lead a world class, consumer social marketing team
  • Leverage insights and user experiences to advise the CEO on brand strategy
  • Develop & scale strategy--including the brand core, brand positioning and brand persona
  • Work with product lead and CEO to develop, measure and extract insights from weekly/monthly growth experiments--and closely track virality growth drivers
  • Leverage great storytelling instincts to amplify powerful stories via the best channels
  • Design and lead experiments around (a) effectively increasing the quality + quantity of top of funnel, and (b) driving users up the activation chain (via SMS, push and other communication channels)
  • Develop and manage channel strategy & initiatives in alignment acquisition goals. Manage and maintain key metrics around acquisition efficiency by channel/strategy (i.e - CAC, eventually LTV, user churn/retention, etc...)
  • Develop, and manage execution of paid media acquisition across a multitude of platforms including, Conceptualize, and manage thoughtful, and meaningful product partnerships, and business development opportunities but not limited to, the following: (a) Snap, (b) TikTok, (c) Reddit, (d) Spotify, (e) Google
  • Manage marketing budget, spend and ROI

About You 

  • 5-7+ years of relevant marketing experience (high growth, consumer tech, etc…)
  • Previous work experience at a high-growth startup is preferred
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Phenomenal verbal and written communication skills, with an eye for design
  • Track record of results, motivation & hustle!

**Note: this role is an on-site position based with the team in New York City--and starts in January 2022. Proof of Covid-19 vaccination is required**
